The Buckle Boss® Seat Belt Guard is designed to help reduce unintended self-unbuckling by covering the seat belt release button.
The device installs over the existing seat belt buckle and does not modify the locking, retractor, or load-bearing components of the seat belt system.
Supervision Required
The Buckle Boss is intended for use only when a responsible caregiver, aide, or authorized adult is present and responsible for the passenger.
The Buckle Boss is not a substitute for proper supervision, safe transportation practices, or compliance with applicable transportation regulations.

Regulatory Approval
The Buckle Boss is not certified under FMVSS standards and has not been independently crash tested.
Approval for use in school buses, school vans, ambulance vehicles, or other regulated transportation vehicles should be confirmed with the appropriate transportation authority.
Emergency Preparedness
The Buckle Boss can be released by inserting a thin object into the release slot. The supplied plastic keys are not required.
In emergency situations, first responders may choose to cut seat belts for rapid extrication. Caregivers and transportation providers are encouraged to carry appropriate emergency tools, including a seat belt cutter.
Inspection & Maintenance
The Buckle Boss is manufactured from durable thermoplastic materials intended for repeated use. Like any plastic product, it may experience wear over time depending on use conditions and environmental exposure.
Users should periodically inspect the device for cracks, deformation, or damage and discontinue use if the product appears compromised.
